Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data FindCharger collects, why, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The data controller is Checkmate Labs (CVR DK38853872), Borgergade 3, Copenhagen, Denmark, [email protected].

What we collect

• Account data: your email address, and your name if you sign in with Google.
• Your content: cars you save and routes you save, so we can show them back to you.
• Consent records: when you accepted these terms and whether you opted in to marketing.
• Technical data: a sign-in session cookie, and standard server logs (IP address, timestamps) for security.
• Location: if you use "near me", your browser shares your location with the map in your device only; we do not store it on our servers.

Why we use it (legal basis)

We process account and content data to provide the Service you asked for (performance of a contract). We keep consent records and secure our systems on the basis of our legitimate interests and legal obligations. We send marketing only if you have opted in (consent), and you can withdraw that at any time from your account.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of processors acting on our instructions: our hosting and database provider, our email provider for sending sign-in links, and Google for optional Google sign-in. Charger and vehicle data shown in the Service comes from third-party data sources. We do not sell your personal data.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data for as long as you have an account. If you delete your account, we delete your account data and saved content, except where we must retain limited records to meet legal obligations.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete and export your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority (in Denmark, Datatilsynet).
